| ADECA Announces Community Development Block Grant Disaster Relief Program to meet the unmet needs resulting from the deadly tornadoes that impacted our community on January 12, 2023 |

| On June 25, 2024, Director Boswell and his team ADECA Alabama Department of Economic And Community Affairs, held a public hearing for the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Relief Program to meet unmet needs resulting from the deadly tornadoes that impacted Autauga County Alabama and Dallas County, Alabama on January 12, 2023. Congress and the United States Department of Housing of Urban Development (HUD) allocated $10.4 M to the state of Alabama to meet these unmet needs. The money will help address the remaining housing needs that were caused by the tornados. The public hearing is an important part of the process, if you were impacted please take time to view the presentation.
