Chairman Jay Thompson, Autauga County Commission, has directed flags in Autauga County to be flown at half-staff tomorrow, January 12, 2024, from sunrise until sunset, to honor and remember the seven lives lost tragically one year ago during the January 12, 2023 EF-3 tornado which struck Autauga County with disastrous consequences. 

Lives lost include Carmen Cox Autery, Christopher Allen Corbin, Jr., Deanna Marie Corbin, Tessa Celeste Desmet, Robert Gardner, Jr., Solomon A. Smith, and Andrea Sue Taylor.

This directive is per the memorandum issued by Gov. Ivey on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, and with the U.S. Code Title 4, Chapter 1, Section 7m.
