Commission Signs “Operation Green Light” Resolution in Support of Our Veterans
11/8/2023

Autauga County residents have a great respect, admiration, and the utmost gratitude for all of those who have selflessly served our country and this community in the Armed Forces’.

In advance of the upcoming Veterans Day Holiday, the Autauga County Commission signed a resolution supporting The National Association of Counties’ (NACo) Operation Green Light, a national collaborative initiative supporting our military veterans as well as raising awareness about the unique challenges faced by many veterans and the resources that are available at the county, state, and federal level to assist veterans and their families.

The Autauga County Commission is asking residents and businesses to participate by simply changing one light bulb in their home or business to a green bulb, or by displaying a green light in their window.  By shining a green light from November 6th –12th, we can let veterans know that they are seen, heard, appreciated, and supported.
