| Autauga County Administrator Receives Coveted Sam Gaston Award | |||

Autauga County’s own Scott Kramer, County Administrator, was the recipient of the the 2022-2023 Sam Gaston Vocational Excellence Award during the 2023 Alabama City/County Management Association (ACCMA) Summer Conference. The award was presented in recognition of Kramer's dedication to Professional Management, Fiscal Responsibility, Risk Management, and Economic Development in Local Government and his Service and countless hours to ACCMA.
Mountain Brook's Sam Gaston, the 'godfather' of the city County Management Association was awarded the first annual ACCMA Vocational of Excellence Award in 1999. He received the award again in 2010, and it was renamed the Gaston Vocational Excellence Award. Through internships, mentoring and teaching, Sam Gaston has devoted his time and talent to supporting the careers of the next generation of local government leaders. | |||
