AUTAUGA COUNTY, AL. – The Autauga County Industrial Development Board, the Autauga County Commission and the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce held a groundbreaking for an Industrial SPEC Building in the Interstate Business Park this week. The Interstate Business Park, located less than a mile from Interstate 65 is currently home to Central Alabama Electric Cooperative headquarters, Hyundai Transys, PBI, Central Alabama Disaster Relief, and Ring Bomb Party, a manufacturer of bath bombs filled with handcrafted jewelry.

"This Class ‘A’ Industrial Spec Building is designed to meet the demands that we are seeing in the market today, and we’re hopeful that we will have a new tenant at the Interstate Business Park upon completion of this project", said Lowell Strock, Industrial Development Authority,

Scheduled for completion 3Q 2023, the building design is based on an analysis of market demand for specific dimensions and features. This 50,000 sq ft Spec Buildlng, expandable to 100,000 sq feet, features a 32-foot ceiling, 6-inch slab, complete with a 2,000 sq. ft. office area and warehouse restrooms. It is designed to suit light manufacturing/assembly operations or warehouse/distribution. The building will also include truck docks and modern column spacing and design features.

"The Autauga County Commission is excited to partner with the Autauga County Industrial Authority and Central Alabama Electric Cooperative in this effort. Economic development and specifically the creation of sites for new industry are a key component of the Commission's strategic plan and it's great to see this part of the plan to come to fruition," said Chairman Jay Thompson, Autauga County Commission. "We are confident that our stellar workforce, high quality schools, a low cost of living and an excellent quality of life, will generate much interest in the community and will result in new local jobs and capital investment in our area."
