2022 Severe Weather Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday Feb. 25-27, 2022

Alabama’s Severe Weather Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday 2022 will be from Friday, February 25 through Saturday, February 27, 2022. This event gives citizens an opportunity to purchase certain severe weather preparedness supplies free from state sales or use tax (local sales and use tax may apply). 

The Autauga County Commission unanimously passed Resolution #2013-01 on January 9, 2013 to annually participate in the Severe Weather Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday. This year, the holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. (CST) on Friday  February 25, 2022 and ends at midnight on Sunday, February 27, 2022. Some of the tax-free items are common supplies costing less than $60 can be used to prepare for a natural disaster or other emergencies.
