Autauga County Commission Recognizes National 4-H Week, October 4-10, 2026
The Autauga County Commission presented a proclamation to Autauga County 4-H recognizing October 4–10, 2026, as National 4-H Week.
This year’s theme, “Beyond Ready,” highlights how 4-H prepares young people for life and career through hands-on learning, leadership, and community service. Across the nation, 4-H supports six million youth, helping them discover their interests, develop practical skills, and build confidence.
“Autauga County’s 4-H young people show us what it means to learn by doing and give back to their community,” said Autauga County Commission Chairman Jay Thompson. “Whether they’re developing a new skill, working together on a project, or volunteering to help others, they’re building confidence that will serve them well wherever life takes them. During National 4-H Week, we’re proud to recognize these young people and the families, volunteers, and Extension staff who support them.”
The Commission encourages residents to join in celebrating Autauga County 4-H and recognizing the volunteers, families, educators, and Extension staff who help our young people grow into capable, caring leaders.
