Last week, Commission Chairman Jay Thompson of Autauga County was elected by the ACCA Board of Directors to serve as the Association's 2020-2021 Vice President. Chairman Thompson joins President Randy Vest, President-Elect Marcus Campbell and Immediate Past President David Money in leading Association efforts over the coming year and also rounds out an ACCA Officer team filled with graduates of the Association's leadership program for second-term commissioners, known as PLAN (Passion, Leadership, Accountability and Networking). Chairman Thompson served as the ACCA District 9 Representative prior to his election as Vice President, resulting in President Vest's appointment of Elmore County Commission Chairman Troy Stubbs to fill the District 9 vacancy. A steadfast advocate for county government and an active member of the Association over the years, Chairman Stubbs joins 11 other District Representatives in their service to the ACCA membership and will represent Autauga, Lowndes, Montgomery and Elmore counties on the Board.
