Autauga County partners with Meridian Waste for residential trash collection. Some residents may experience a change in their garbage collection day beginning the week of May 4, 2026.

📬 Postcards are currently arriving in mailboxes notifying affected residents of their new service schedule. The postcard shown below is an example of the official notice being distributed.

What to Expect

If your collection day is changing, you will be notified by:

• Mail (postcard)
• Email
• Phone call

Not All Residents Are Affected By This Change

• If you do not receive a postcard, email, or phone call, your current collection schedule will remain the same.
• Yard waste collection will move to the same day as your new garbage collection day (if applicable to your service).
• Please place carts curbside the evening before or no later than 6:00 a.m. on your collection day.
