ADECA Launches Program for Homeowners Affected by the January 2023 Tornadoes in Autauga and Dallas Counties
11/19/2025
ATTENTION HOMEOWNERS IN AUTAUGA and DALLAS COUNTIES: If you are still dealing with damage from the January 2023 tornadoes, you may now qualify for financial help through a new program launched by the ADECA Alabama Department of Economic And Community Affairs (ADECA).

The Home Recovery Alabama Program provides grants—not loans—to help eligible property owners repair, rebuild, or replace single-family homes impacted by the storms. These funds do not have to be repaid as long as they’re used according to program guidelines.
📅 Applications open Tuesday, Nov. 18
✔️ You must have owned the property before the tornadoes and still own the home today.
ADECA Director Kenneth Boswell shared that while funds are limited, the goal is to assist as many families as possible as they continue recovering from the historic storms that hit Autauga County, Dallas County and Selma.
