Weekly Household Trash Collection
Autauga County has mandatory household trash pickup. Residents may contact our vendor, Meridian Waste, at 1-866-440-3983, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM to set up service.
Free Dumpsters for Rural Trash & Bulky Items Collection
This dumpster service is first come, first serve. When the dumpster is full, the truck will leave and not return (one dumpster per day). Hours: 8:00 AM until full, or 12:00 noon at the latest.

Exemptions
How can I receive a Social Security exemption to cover the cost of collection?
You are eligible for an exemption if your entire household income is from Social Security payments (or disability) only. See the questionnaire below to determine if you are eligible.
You are not eligible to request an exemption if you have any other type of income.
- Residents must apply for the Social Security exemption each year. There is no automatic renewal.
- Exemption applications are accepted September 1 through November 30 by the Autauga County Health Department.
- If the application, questionnaire, and supporting documentation are not received by November 30, you must wait until the following year to apply.
