Mr. Chavers, formerly of Pensacola, FL, has been a resident of Autauga County for 21 years. He has served on the County Commission as District 2 Commissioner for nine years. His first eight years he served as Vice-Chairman and is in his second year serving as Chairman. He is divorced. He has two sons, Jakob, 9 and Paxton, 4, who live with him in Autaugaville. They are members of the Autaugaville Baptist Church.
Mr. Chavers served in the United States Marine Corp from 1982 to 1988. He is presently employed by the State of Alabama Military Department as Assistant Chief for the Dannelly Field Fire Department. He is also manager/operator of the Autaugaville Water & Sewer Department and Fire Chief of the Autaugaville Volunteer Fire Department. | |
