| Commission Advocates for the State Legislature to Oppose Any Legislative Changes that Would Disrupt the SSUT Program's Operations |
| 9/4/2025 |
On September 2nd, the first Commission meeting following the 2025 ACCA Summer Convention, the Autauga County Commission passed Resolution #2025-44 supporting Alabama’s lawful approach to collecting online sales taxes and encouraging the Alabama State Legislature to oppose any legislative changes that would disrupt the current program’s operations that was enacted in 2015. The SSUT program is designed to fall within the United Supreme Court’s guidelines and has been a model for other states across the country. Challenges to and attacks upon the SSUT program place essential risk for all levels of government and, therefore, are a threat to our State’s continued growth. The commission is proud to stand with the other 66 counties in the County Family — strong and united— proving once again that "Counties Really Matter”! |
