Alabama’s annual sales tax holiday for school-related items will be held July 18-20, 2025, and the Autauga County Commission is pleased to announce continued participation.

Beginning at 12:01a.m. Friday, July 18, until midnight, Sunday, July 20, the state waives its four-percent sales tax on school-related supplies and clothing. More than 300 cities and counties throughout Alabama waive their local taxes as well, including Autuaga County. 

Generally, the sales tax holiday offers shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain items priced at $100 or less per item free of state and county sales tax. School supplies, computer systems/supplies ($750 or less) and clothing are some common items included.
