| FREE Legal Clinic Feb. 9, 2-4 PM For Autauga County Families Affected By The Jan. 12th Tornado |

Autauga County, AL - Autauga County Bar Association President Kyle C. Shirley, announced today that a legal clinic for the victims of the tornado which recently hit Autauga County will be held on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, from 2-4 PM, at the Autauga County Administrative Building, 135. North Court St., Prattville. The legal clinic will provide help regarding the estates of anyone who was killed in the recent storm, as well as advice for victims in relation to all manner of legal matters. Any Autauga County storm victim who needs legal advice is encouraged to attend. "We all know someone who was affected by the recent, tragic storms in Autauga County; the Autauga County Bar Association is honored to do our part in helping our neighbors in such a difficult moment in their lives," Mr. Shirley commented. "Lawyers provide services during life's most difficult moments. It is our desire that those who have been so tragically affected by the recent storm will be able to get their legal questions answered." In addition to the free legal advice, Autauga County Probate Judge Kim Kervin has arranged for any court filing fees associated with the estate of someone who died becuase of the storm to be completely covered by the Alabama Probate Judges Association. Judge Kervin reported that the Alabama Probate Judges Association graciously donated $500.00 to cover the filing fees for the estates filed on anyone who lost their life in the storm. Lee County Probate Judge Bill English, whose county benefited from a similar donation, made the motion for the organization. Thank you to the APJA for this donation to Autauga County families. Also, thank you to Senator Clyde Chambliss for working with the Alabama Association for Justice to secure free legal assistance for families needing assistance completing FEMA paperwork and filing insurance company.
